Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer focuses on simulations of single and multi-storey complex data centres.
What the role involves
- Simulations of single and multi-storey complex data centres.
- Modelling different scenarios or changes and seeing how they affect the cooling effectiveness under normal working conditions and during failure scenarios.
- CFD Modelling of high- and low-density cabinets, under-floor ventilation systems, racks, servers, PDU's, CRAC's, fans and diffusers.
- Preparing technical reports, specifications, detailed briefs.
- Liaise with the Mechanical and PH Engineers.
- Ensure an integrated solution is adopted.
Skills and requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- CFD knowledge ideally Cadence Reality DC (previously Future Facilities).
- Reporting knowledge (Excel, desired Power-Bi, ideally: Tableau).
- Technical Writer skills desired.
