Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Computer Numerical Control Programmer focuses on creating, developing and optimising cnc programs for multi axis/multi spindle mill/turn machining centres.

What the role involves

• Creating, developing and optimising CNC programs for multi axis/multi spindle mill/turn machining centres.
• Producing safe, efficient and repeatable machining strategies for complex components.
• Supporting the prove-out of new and existing CNC programs on the shop floor.
• Working closely with setters, operators, Manufacturing Engineers and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Reviewing engineering drawings, models and specifications to define the best manufacturing method.
• Selecting appropriate tooling, workholding and machining methods to achieve quality and cycle-time targets.

Skills and requirements

• Software development experience with the relevant language, framework, or platform is important.

Confirmed role details

• This role is initially offered on a 12 month, fixed-term-contract.
• 25 days holiday (rising with service).
