Consultant - Anaesthetics & Critical Care focuses on provide consultant‑level anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgery.
What the role involves
- Provide consultant‑level anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgery.
- Delivering consultant‑led Critical Care services alongside the established ITU consultant body.
- Supporting multidisciplinary working across theatres, ICU, outreach, and perioperative services.
- Supervise and appraise junior doctors, ACCPs, trainees, and medical students.
Skills and requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthetics (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR).
- DBS/PVG check (or willingness to complete).
