Consultant Gynaecology Oncologist focuses on participate in gynaecological oncology service including theatre sessions and outpatient activity.

What the role involves

• Participate in gynaecological oncology service including theatre sessions and outpatient activity.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the delivery of high-quality cancer care pathways.
• Supporting service development and innovation within gynaecology and gynaecological oncology services.
• Participate in the gynaecology on-call rota (currently at 1:8 frequency and with no impact to elective gynaecological oncology work load).
• Engage in teaching, audit, and clinical governance activities.

Additional role context

• This post offers the opportunity to contribute to a department focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across sites in Exeter and Barnstaple.
• The post will be based at the Royal Devon & Exeter (Wonford) Hospital, with support provided to the service at North Devon District Hospital where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the delivery and development of gynaecological oncology services across the Trust.
