As a Consultant Paediatrician, the work centres on direct clinical care including paediatric outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and multidisciplinary team meetings. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.
Role overview
A team of 11 consultant haematologists, supported by 5 specialty registrars, 1 academic clinical fellow, and junior doctors. Provides Level 3 Haematology care and autologous stem cell transplantation through a JACIE‑accredited service.
Main responsibilities
Direct clinical care including paediatric outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Involvement in clinical governance, audit, and service development. Opportunities to engage in research and clinical trials.

Requirements
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Paediatrics (or within 6 months of interview).
- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Experience in managing both malignant and non‑malignant paediatric haematological conditions.
Job details
- Full-time, 10 PA post (with flexibility for part-time applicants).
- £105,504 – £139,882 per annum.
