Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior clinical advice and support to triage, MDT, and regular team meetings

  • Ensure timely review and response to referrals

  • Undertake assessments of new patients and provide supervision to junior clinicians

  • Manage and review complex cases, ensuring appropriate care packages are in place

  • Undertake domiciliary visits and emergency assessments

  • Carry out Mental Health Act-related responsibilities

  • Support GPs and primary care clinicians with advice and joint management where needed

  • Liaise closely with wards, CRHTT, Psychiatric Liaison, AMHP, Forensic Services, and voluntary sector partners to facilitate admissions, discharges, and recovery-focused care

  • Monitor caseloads to ensure safe practice and effective patient flow

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

  • Approved Clinician (AC) status

  • Experience working within community adult psychiatry
