What the role involves

  • Clinical Assessment.
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and establish clear diagnostic formulations.
  • Prioritise care using sound clinical judgement based on urgency and complexity.
  • Managing clinical risk effectively, including crisis response and safeguarding procedures.
  • Provide clinical leadership within the Single Point of Access (SPA).
  • Advise colleagues on triage and complex assessments.

Skills and requirements

  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
  • Section 12 and Approved Clinician status.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent.
