Consultant Rheumatologist

Consultant Rheumatologist focuses on delivering face-to-face and virtual rheumatology outpatient clinics.

What the role involves

• Delivering face-to-face and virtual rheumatology outpatient clinics.
• Manage a wide range of rheumatological conditions.
• Provide expert clinical opinion, prescribing, and treatment planning.
• Manage ongoing patient caseloads.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, and GPs.
• Participate in MDT meetings, audits, governance, and service development initiatives.

Skills and requirements

• Full GMC Registration with Specialist Registration.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Experience teaching or supervising clinicians.
• 4 hour sessions (£600 per session).

Confirmed role details

• Birmingham – Community Rheumatology Services.
• Rate: £150 per hour.

Additional role context

• Both employed and contractor arrangements will be considered, alongside full-time and part-time options.
