Consultation Project Manager
Project Manager focuses on managing consultation delivery program, including key stages - non-statutory consultation, statutory consultation and targeted engagement.
What the role involves
- Managing consultation delivery program, including key stages - non-statutory consultation, statutory consultation and targeted engagement.
- Coordinating closely with Engagement & Consultation team to ensure consistent messaging and integrated delivery.
- Managing third-party consultation consultants responsible for delivering consultation activities (e.g. exhibitions, digital engagement, communications materials).
- Act as the primary interface between consultation delivery consultants and project teams.
- Design, environmental, planning, and land teams to gather and validate inputs required for consultation materials.
- Ensure consultation content reflects current design development, assessments, and mitigation measures.
Skills and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, planning, public policy, social sciences, or related field and 10+ years’ experience, or 14+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering statutory consultation under the Planning Act 2008 or similar consenting regimes.
- Proven experience managing complex consultation programs for major infrastructure or NSIP projects.
- Strong experience managing third-party consultants and multidisciplinary technical inputs.
