Control room Operator
As a Control room Operator, the work centres on conduct audits and safety inputs in line with personal safety commitments. It would suit someone who can bring must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and remain calm during stressful situations particularly emergencies and plant upsets to the role.
Why this role may suit you
Working as part of the operations team your primary role will be to safely operate the site. There will be 15 contracted shifts to be worked during the year out with the rotated pattern.
What you would be doing
Conduct audits and safety inputs in line with personal safety commitments. Act as front-line emergency response contact. Record, and inform Site Manager and Operations Site Controller of any reported incidents.

Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and remain calm during stressful situations particularly emergencies and plant upsets.
What you need
- At least 5 years’ experience as a production technician or equivalent.
- A recognised process apprenticeship would be desirable but not essential.
- A good level of basic education, especially Math’s, Science and computer literacy is essential.
Practical information
- Take responsibility for own development and completing PCAP objectives in line with agreed development plan.
- Must have built a strong knowledge of the Wytch Farm process and operation.
- Keep real time detailed log covering day and night activities both in relation to control room and equipment status.
- Liaise with Operations Support Engineers and production team to deliver new information or obtain opinions.
