Control Systems Engineer

Control Systems Engineer focuses on collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and calibration engineers to deliver robust control solutions for industrial power applications.

What the role involves

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and calibration engineers to deliver robust control solutions for industrial power applications.
• Develop and execute validation activities.
• Resolve issues during development.
• ·Support calibration, testing, and troubleshooting using HIL, dyno, and field test environments.
• ·Integrate control systems with engine hardware, sensors, and actuators in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• ·Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

Skills and requirements

• ·Good technical degree in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems or automotive engineering.
• ·Strong understanding of control theory, embedded systems, and engine/automation principles.
• ·Proven experience delivering electronic systems and software for complex products.
• ·Experience with CAN/Ethernet and calibration tools (CANape, CANalyzer/CANoe).

Additional role context

• Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Controls Systems Engineer to be based at our customer’s site in Peterborough 5 days per week.
• The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, calibration, and integration of engine control systems.
