The Controls Engineer position centres on understands automated systems, and how the various disciplines interact (mechanical, controls, artistic, etc). It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.

What the work leans on

Understanding of functional safety standards preferred, including ISO12100, IEC 62061, and ISO 13849. Up to 20-40% of the time, to support project success.

Where the technical work sits

  • Understands automated systems, and how the various disciplines interact (mechanical, controls, artistic, etc).
  • Writes technical documentation both to fulfil project requirements and for internal purposes.
  • Commissions and formally tests installed systems to ensure correct performance and satisfy client requirements.

Technical requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Theater, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with large, distributed control systems preferred.
  • Experience with closed-loop motion control preferred.
