Conveyancing Assistant focuses on provide administrative and case progression support across residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
What the role involves
- Provide administrative and case progression support across residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
- Ensure files progress to key milestones and flag delays to fee earners.
- Assist with document production including standard correspondence, client questionnaires and completion packs.
- Ensure accurate and timely case notes.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties to obtain instructions, chase outstanding information.
- Provide routine updates in a professional and timely manner.
Skills and requirements
- With over 15 years of experience, we connect law firms and conveyancing practices with the talent they need to grow.
- Experience of preparing basic completion paperwork and dealing with lenders or estate agents is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work methodically to maintain high standards across multiple files.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, fee earners and external contacts.
