What the role involves

• Cook a single-course light lunch to be served at 1:00 PM.
• Cook a two-course evening meal to be served at 5:00 PM.
• Cater for up to 20 children and adults, ensuring appropriate portion sizes.
• Follow set menus and pre-planned food orders.
• Ensure all meals are nutritious, balanced, and suitable for children.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience working as a cook, preferably within a school.
• Experience preparing meals for groups.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) – essential.

Confirmed role details

• 37 hours per week with some flexibility, but meals must be prepared at specified times.
• Menus are provided, and food orders are already planned.
• Enhanced DBS check with Child Barred List required.
