Core Subjects Tutor focuses on delivering one-to-one gcse maths and english lessons tailored to the needs of sen students.

What the role involves

• Delivering one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
• Adapt lessons to support emotional regulation and individual learning styles.
• Help students build confidence in their subject knowledge, improve study habits.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment.
• Provide feedback to parents/carers or professionals as needed.
• Monitoring student progress.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
• Experience working with SEN students in a one-to-one or small group setting.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
• PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Confirmed role details

• GBP25 per hour (starting rate).
• 20 hours per week.
• Job Type: Temporary.
