How the role works day to day

Provide practical legal guidance on the design, development, launch and ongoing support of payment-related products and features that do not fall within the scope of financial serv. Monitoring and interpret evolving regulatory developments in the UK, EU, U.S., and other geographies with the assistance of outside counsel, and assess their impact on business operat. Supporting market entry and product expansion in new jurisdictions with regulatory analysis.

What needs to be in place

  • Law degree and qualification to practice in at least one jurisdiction (UK, EU member state, or U.S. state).
  • 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in fintech, payments, financial services regulation, or technology-focused regulatory work.
  • Strong knowledge of payments and financial services regulatory frameworks, such as PSD2/PSD3, E-Money regulations, AML/KYC, consumer protection, and data protection.
