What the role involves
- Assisting in the planning and execution of course maintenance programs, seasonal renovations, and improvements.
- Monitoring the health of turf and plants, applying fertilizers and pesticides as necessary in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Repair course equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Work as part of a team to manage the daily operations of the course, including assisting with maintenance of bunkers, greens, and tee boxes.
- Reporting findings to the Course Manager.
- Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify areas needing attention.
Skills and requirements
- No prior experience as a green keeper is necessary as full training will be provided however, a passion for horticulture, landscaping, or golf is a plus.
- Opportunities for Full Time apprenticeships and continued CPD training will be provided as part of this role with a reputable college and BIGGA approved courses.
- A keen interest in the principles of turf management and environmental sustainability.
- Develop skills in course maintenance and landscaping techniques.
