What the role involves
- Supervise whole-class learning during teacher absences.
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects.
- Maintaining strong classroom behaviour management and positive learning environments.
- Supporting students with classwork, engagement, and lesson participation.
- Encourage student progress, confidence, and independent learning.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student behaviour and attainment.
Skills and requirements
- Confident managing classroom behaviour and leading groups of young people.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A passion for education, student wellbeing, and supporting young people’s development.
- Previous experience working with young people, schools, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work is desirable but not essential.
