Critical Care Outreach Nurse focuses on delivering a nurse-led outreach service 24/7, providing expert support to patients who are acutely unwell or deteriorating.
What the role involves
- Delivering a nurse-led Outreach Service 24/7, providing expert support to patients who are acutely unwell or deteriorating.
- Hospital-based role: Monitor patients transferred from ITU to wards, identify deterioration.
- Work alongside ward teams to educate, mentor, and optimise patient care.
- Supporting the safe transfer of patients from lower acuity wards to HDU or ITU.
- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin.
- Completion of a Critical Care Course (60 credits).
