The Critical Facilities Technician (Shift) position centres on perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems. It would suit someone who can bring supporting site-by-site logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards to the role.
Who the work supports
Our technicians operate and maintain complex mechanical and electrical systems that provide reliable power and cooling for AWS cloud services. The Data Centre Engineering Operations (DCEO) team is responsible for maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports AWS data centres.
How support shows up
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems. Supervise specialist vendors performing maintenance or repair activities Onsite. Performing daily plant inspections across electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

What needs to be in place
- Hands-on experience performing maintenance, inspections or troubleshooting on plant equipment.
- Electrical or mechanical qualification (apprenticeship, diploma or equivalent experience).
