Customer Platforms Engineer

Customer Platforms Engineer focuses on is primarily focused on extending and improving our cloud infrastructure, but has the opportunity to extend into application development work.

What the role involves

• Is primarily focused on extending and improving our cloud infrastructure, but has the opportunity to extend into application development work.
• Infrastructure-as-code – working closely with the team to design and implement new features using AWS, terraform and GitLab.
• Support – performing root-cause analysis of incidents and improving our OpenTelemetry/Grafana observability tools.
• Security – ensuring security by design, governance and compliance across our applications, monitoring vulnerabilities and implementing automated security testing.
• Continuous improvement and continuous delivery – ensuring we deploy confidently and quickly by improving and maintaining our testing and deployment processes in GitLab CI.

Skills and requirements

• Our team works with stakeholders across the business to deliver reliable, high-quality customer experience from end-to-end, from our corporate website to our critical business syst.
• Deploying to AWS, especially ECS, CloudFront, Lambdas, EventBridge and SQS.
• Securing applications and data in a hybrid cloud.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
