What the role involves

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.
  • Decontamination Services provide a vital service to all departments within the Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Community Hospitals as well as external customers.
  • The post holder will play a pivotal role in providing sterile reusable equipment for our patients.
  • Whilst there is no direct contact with patients being part of this small friendly team supports patient safety within the organisation.

Skills and requirements

  • Be expected to be to follow clear working instructions in order to meet the standards required to deliver high quality care for our patients.
  • Minimum 5 x GCE ‘O’ level grade C or above or equivalent.
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality.
  • Flexible working approach, being able to work within the required shift patterns of the department.

Additional role context

  • Your daily duties will be on a rota basis and will include early and late shifts (between the hours of 0630 and 2200 hrs) and weekends and bank holidays (between 0900 and 1700 hrs).
  • Outstanding care for people in ways which matter to them.
  • Therefore it is important that you check your personal email account regularly.
