Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver position centres on ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination. It would suit someone who can bring the USDOT's Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation, 49 CFR Part 40, at 40.151(e), does not recognize 'medical marijuana' as a valid medical explanation for a transportation employee t to the role.

What you would be doing

Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination. Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle. Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders.

What you need

• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required, minimum of three (3) years of driving history.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs.
• Must meet the physical qualifications to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with Section 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Practical information

• Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket.
