Job description

The Deputy Head: Property & Facilities position with HND level or above in Events Venue centres on monitoring the operating budget for maintenance and repairs. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

Established nearly years, they have a broad base of interesting clients from both agencies and end users. The multi-purpose venue has both indoor and outdoor space, offering a versatile backdrop for a wide range of business, as well as having an exciting in-house event programme!

Where the technical work sits

  • Monitoring the operating budget for maintenance and repairs.
  • Managing all aspects of the estates upkeep, repairs, and restoration projects.
  • Work with the facilities coordinator, chief engineer, and building surveyor to complete projects on time and to a high standard.

Technical requirements

  • Experience in leading and managing a team, as well as managing scheduled building maintenance including Mechanical and Engineering services, is also highly preferred.
  • Additionally, it is desirable for candidates to have a formal Engineering qualification at HND level or above, along with relevant professional qualifications such as CIBSE, CIOB,.
  • Hold a NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health and Safety qualification and have experience working in a similar role covering both hard and soft services.
