Deputy Nursery Manager

Deputy Nursery Manager focuses on support the protection of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe nursery policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.

What the role involves

• Support the protection of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe nursery policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.
• Support staff to implement the EYFS.
• Monitoring and evaluate practice within playrooms to support improvements.
• Work with parents/carers of all children to achieve full integration in the nursery.
• Foresee the needs of all children, families and staff and give wellbeing guidance as appropriate.
• Lead a good staff team with high morale.

Skills and requirements

• Hold minimum level 3 childcare qualification.
• Senior level experience in an early years setting.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS.

Confirmed role details

• We are recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager for a permanent Full Time and term time only role within a small (30 place) preschool setting in Garstang.
• Up to £11.77 - 12.10 per hour (may be negotiable for right experience).
• A comprehensive pension scheme with employer contributions.

• In your role as Deputy Nursery Manager you will be joining a small team of Early years Professionals in supporting preschool children.
• What you can expect for the Deputy Nursery Manager role in Garstang.
• Hours usually 830 - 530pm but may be some negotiation i.e. 830 - 430pm or 930 - 530pm.
