Deputy Nursey Manager focuses on as deputy nursery manager, you’ll work closely with the nursery manager to lead the setting, inspire the team.

What the role involves

• As Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to lead the setting, inspire the team.
• Supporting the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the setting.
• Deputise in the Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth and compliant operations.
• Leading, motivate, and mentor staff to deliver outstanding early years practice.
• Overseeing planning, observations, and assessments in line with the EYFS framework.
• Monitoring quality, safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory compliance across the nursery.

Skills and requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) – minimum requirement.
• Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery setting (Third in Charge, Senior Room Leader, or similar).
