What the role involves
- As Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to lead the setting, inspire the team.
- Supporting the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the setting.
- Deputise in the Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth and compliant operations.
- Leading, motivate, and mentor staff to deliver outstanding early years practice.
- Overseeing planning, observations, and assessments in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitoring quality, safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory compliance across the nursery.
Skills and requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) – minimum requirement.
- Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery setting (Third in Charge, Senior Room Leader, or similar).
