Design Engineer focuses on preparation of accurate, competitive and detailed technical schedules for ig masonry support products with the assistance of a dedicated internal structural engineering team.

What the role involves

• Preparation of accurate, competitive and detailed technical schedules for IG Masonry Support products with the assistance of a dedicated internal structural engineering team.
• Produce cost variations post order to support the live projects team.
• Follow up schedules with customers via phone calls and emails to build relationships with key contacts.
• Provide basic calculations to the current standard for all products specified.
• Provide detailed handovers to the project team when orders are received.
• Develop customer relationships, solve technical issues.

Skills and requirements

• IG Masonry Support Systems has combined experience with innovation to provide the most practical and advanced range of masonry support products on the market.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction estimating/technical role.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and extract relevant information efficiently.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the construction process.
