Design Engineer

Design Engineer focuses on to design and create innovative new product concepts and finalised designs.

What the role involves

• To design and create innovative new product concepts and finalised designs.
• Carry out design changes to existing products as directed by the engineering drawings.
• Work closely with customers and suppliers to bring products to life.
• Supporting the sales department with initial design concepts.
• Supporting the production department to ensure that parts go together smoothly and efficiently.
• Supporting the quality department with product improvements.

Skills and requirements

• Must have experience of 3D & 2D CAD, Solidworks would be highly beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of geometric dimensionals and tolerances.
• Ability to carry out tolerance stacks.
• Have an understanding of diecast, moulded, pressed and machined parts.

Confirmed role details

• £30,000 to £34,000 per annum.
• Monday to Thursday 7am to 5.15pm.
