Design Estimator — Hybrid/Remote focuses on provide estimating support on all security and/or life safety project estimating, including product selection, quantification of tenders, providing accurate costs based on industry.

What the role involves

• Provide estimating support on all security and/or life safety project estimating, including product selection, quantification of tenders, providing accurate costs based on industry.
• Provide detailed cost sheets, drawing markups/take-offs and/or designs alongside quotations for work.
• Developing processes and strategies to ensure maximum output without reducing technical output.
• Maintaining and create accurate subcontractor & product market information that allows informed decision making and identification of new products, technologies and installation prici.
• Supporting the sales teams with surveys, client meetings and pre & post tender meetings where required.
• Despite our best efforts it is not always possible to respond to every application individually due to the high volume of responses we receive on each vacancy.

Skills and requirements

• Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role within the Fire and/or Security industry.

• Proven track record of supporting sales teams with the provision of detailed designs, technical proposals and costings.
• Exceptional knowledge of a variety of life safety and/or security systems and will have been involved in the tendering or projects ranging from £10k to £1m+.
