What the role involves
- Each day, you run your own screening clinic which involves.
- Using photography and OCT equipment to take photos and scans of the retina.
- Daily equipment cleaning/checks and occasional fault-finding/maintenance (with training).
Skills and requirements
- Full training is given if you’re new to screening, so no experience is needed but it is an advantage if you come from a screening or healthcare background.
- Be enrolled on the national Health Screening Diploma course, which combines on the job training with personal study.
- Confident with people and you have patience and understanding to deal with service users from all backgrounds.
- Travel is part of a normal day (to/from various clinic venues near your home base) so a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
Confirmed role details
- This is a Part Time role, 3 days per week.
Additional role context
- Work mostly 08:15-16:15 with occasional Saturday morning's.
