What the role involves

  • Clean resident bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, corridors, and offices to a high standard.
  • Dispose of waste in line with care home policy and infection control guidelines.
  • Reporting any faults, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Assisting in implementing enhanced cleaning during outbreaks (e.g., flu, norovirus, COVID-19).
  • Be respectful and courteous to residents, ensuring privacy and dignity are upheld.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience in a care home or healthcare setting.
