The Domestic Electrician position centres on carrying out programmed and reactive installation and maintenance activities, within both empty and tenant occupied buildings/properties. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

Maintain electrical systems/installations on behalf of local authorities providing housing and property maintenance services. Candidate fitelectrical safety, technical judgement, compliance awareness, and careful workmanship.

Engineering work involved

Carry out programmed and reactive installation and maintenance activities, within both empty and tenant occupied buildings/properties. To undertake the role of electrician in accordance with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and carry out repairs which will include rewiring and upgrade work to domestic. Properties, carry out minor electrical repairs.

Technical skills and requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience.
• 2330-01 level 2 & C&G 2382.
• Minimum – C&G 2382.
