As a Drama and English Teacher, the work centres on there are some KS3 Drama lessons on this timetable which you would team-teach. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Role overview
Be responsible for teaching English, both to KS3 and KS4. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, A666), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire.
Main responsibilities
There are some KS3 Drama lessons on this timetable which you would team-teach. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking. supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- English or Drama Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher.
- Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active “on call” team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters.
- Previous experience working in a UK school.
