Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Job description

Prospero Teaching are looking for ECT (Newly qualified) Primary Teachers to work in local schools in Colchester and the surrounding areas starting from September 2026 or sooner.

We work with a range of Primary Schools; from small village schools to large three-form entry schools. We cover classes from Reception through to Year 6. We are looking for teachers who have strong behaviour management skills and are passionate about teaching.

Some contracts may be extended from day-to-day bookings to longer-term cover.

CONTRACT DETAILS

Location – Various across Colchester and surrounding areas
Position – ECT Primary Teacher
Type of work – Supply teaching or long-term
Start date – ASAP
Duration / Likely Duration – Day-to-day bookings
Contract type – Temporary
Full time/part-time – Both
Minimum rate of pay – Minimum £125 per day for qualified teachers
Hours – 8:30 am – 4:00pm (full day)
