Early years educator (level 3)
Early years educator (level 3) – Staines, Sunbury on Thames area
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Education
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
Support children’s learning through play-based experiences.
Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress.
Maintain accurate learning journeys and development records.
Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong, secure relationships.
Safeguarding and Welfare
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
Promote children’s health, hygiene, and personal care routines.
Administer first aid where required (if trained).
Essential
Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
Experience working in an early years setting.
Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
Food hygiene certificate.
