Observe children and contribute to assessment evidence. Supporting children as they transition into Reception. Work with the class teacher to provide daily classroom support.

What needs to be in place
- Has experience working with young children (EYFS or SEN experience preferred).
- Experience supporting children with additional needs or early intervention is desirable, but not essential.
- All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Job details
- A Burnley primary school is looking to appoint a caring and reliable Early Years Support Assistant to support children joining Reception in September 2026.
- The children will not yet be school ready and will be under assessment for additional needs (EHCPs not yet in place).
- This role focuses on helping children settle into school, develop routines and access early learning with the right support in place.
