Early Years Teaching Assistant (Early Years TA)

Early Years Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging eyfs learning activities.

What the role involves

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS learning activities.
• Assisting children with their social, emotional, and educational development.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting children with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence.

Skills and requirements

• CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or a relevant qualification.
• Experience working with children within an Early Years or EYFS setting.
• A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to supporting young learners.

Confirmed role details

• £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience).
