Early Years Teaching Assistant focuses on assisting the class teacher with daily routines and activities.

What the role involves

  • Assisting the class teacher with daily routines and activities.
  • Leading small group play and learning sessions to promote development.
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Assisting with personal care routines as required.
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Free and discounted CPD courses, including EYFS, safeguarding, and behaviour support.

Skills and requirements

  • Ideally a Level 2 or 3 Early Years.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working within EYFS, nursery, or preschool settings is highly desirable.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
