East Lothian – Relief Support Practitioner
Job description
This Care Assistant role is focused on communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.
How the role is set up
We have people who require 24 hour support at this service so it does include sleepover and longer shifts. The service users in Tranent are very independent so your shift could be spent with more than 1 supported person.
Where someone would start
Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships. Ark would love to hear from you whether you are an experienced Support Worker or new to Social Care. Fully funded PVG & 1st year SSSC registration paid by Ark.

Job details
- Tranent supports 4 people, 2 within 1 block of flats and 2 outreach.
- There are 2 Houses of Multiple Occupancy each with 3 people in them and 2 people in their own flats.
- There is a sleepover shift which involves working 3pm - 3pm.
