Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join a dynamic and high-performing Economics department in Dorset. This full-time Head of Department role starts this January and is ideal for a candidate eager to shape curriculum direction, mentor colleagues, and make a lasting impact in a vibrant school community.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach Economics across KS4–KS5, lead curriculum development, mentor team members, and drive continued improvement in outcomes for students. Applications are encouraged from experienced educators with a proven track record of departmental leadership.

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in Economics or a closely related field
• Proven experience leading a department or curriculum area
• QTS or PGCE qualification

This post is paid to scale (MPS/UPS) with an additional TLR for Head of Department responsibilities.
