Education Support Worker
Job description
The Support Worker position centres on work closely with others to achieve a full and shared understanding of the needs of individual young people and contribute to target setting as part of the EHC process. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.
How the role is set up
To facilitate the delivery of education programmes to small groups and individuals under the direction of tutors/ managers. To be responsible for ensuring that work undertaken within service area is conducted in line with statutory regulations and within Service Area, Directorate and wider Council guida.
Where someone would start
Work closely with others to achieve a full and shared understanding of the needs of individual young people and contribute to target setting as part of the EHC process. Develop and maintain appropriate mentoring relationships with young people and those engaged with them. Being a key worker for learners as directed by appropriate managers, ensuring barriers to accessing learning are addressed including supporting bursary applications.
