Electrical Design Engineer – Satellite Communications & Maritime Systems
Electrical Design Engineer focuses on produce detailed 2d and 3d electrical and mechanical drawings.
What the role involves
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Develop design concepts from first principles.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing packs.
- Generate STEP files and technical outputs for customers and manufacturing teams.
- Supporting system integration and project engineering activities.
- Ensure designs comply with recognised industry and ISO standards.
Skills and requirements
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or similar.
- Exposure to electrical CAD packages such as SEE Electrical, ETAP or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of BS8888 drawing standards.
- Familiarity with BS7671 wiring regulations and electrical safety standards is advantageous.
