Electrical Estimator
The Electrical Estimator position centres on preparing accurate cost estimates and formal client proposals for EV charging. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
What the work leans on
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Since launching in 1973, Ground Control has grown rapidly and now provides full national coverage for our customers across the UK and Ireland.
Where the technical work sits
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and formal client proposals for EV charging.
- Interpret and work with CAD drawings and liaise with the internal design team to ensure alignment between designs and estimates.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements including BS 7671 and the IET Code of Practice for EV Charging Equipment Installation.
Technical requirements
- Ensure proposals are technically compliant with relevant regulations and aligned with client requirements and project objectives.
- Hold BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) qualification.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, system layouts, and CAD drawings.
Practical details
- Hybrid working with travel to London (Whitechapel).
- 23 days holiday, Increasing with length of service + bank holidays.
