Electrical & Mechanical Critical Facilities Engineer focuses on facility infrastructure maintenance: ensure the seamless operation of our facility infrastructure through diligent maintenance practices.
What the role involves
- Facility Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the seamless operation of our facility infrastructure through diligent maintenance practices.
- Monitor building and data centre alarms to ensure optimal performance.
- Site Inspections & Monitoring: Conduct regular site inspections.
- Manage repairs and corrective maintenance on critical equipment to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Planned Maintenance: Prepare and execute planned maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of our infrastructure.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive site logs and data records, including MOPs (Method of Procedure) and scripts.
Skills and requirements
- Educational Background: ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience in data centre or critical environment settings is benifical.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems. HV switching experience preferred.
