Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity
One of the UK’s largest Tier 1 MEP contractors is seeking an ambitious Electrical Project Engineer to join the team on a major CAT A Shell & Core commercial development based in Paddington.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a contractor with an enviable reputation in the London market, having delivered landmark schemes alongside major main contractors such as Mace, Lendlease, and Multiplex.
Known for delivering complex, high-value projects, the business offers excellent support, structured progression, and the chance to work on some of London’s most prestigious commercial developments.
Role Overview
Working as part of the project delivery team, the successful candidate will support the delivery of the electrical package, with a strong focus on pre-construction activities, technical submittals, and specialist package coordination.
The business is also open to considering strong site managers or supervisors from an engineering background, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a project engineering role within a Tier 1 environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of the electrical package from pre-construction through to installation
Manage and coordinate technical submittals
Assist with pre-construction planning, procurement, and technical coordination
Coordinate specialist subcontractor packages
Liaise with consultants, suppliers, and site teams
Ensure installations are delivered in line with design specifications and programme requirements
Support commissioning and handover activities
Assist with technical issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
Proven experience within electrical building services
Strong experience in pre-construction and technical submittals
Good understanding of Shell & Core commercial projects
Strong technical coordination skills
Candidates from a site management / engineering background will be considered
Ambition to grow within a Tier 1 contractor environment
