What the role involves

  • Leading or support installation works on wastewater treatment and pumping assets, covering both electrical and mechanical elements.
  • Commission new systems, including pumps, blowers, control panels, instrumentation, and treatment equipment.
  • Resolve electrical or mechanical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems across wastewater treatment sites.
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to field engineers and clients, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.

Skills and requirements

  • HNC/HND/Degree or NVQ equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mechanical engineers must understand basic electrical systems).
  • Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, control panels, or mechanical drive systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Candidates with an electrical bias must hold a recognised electrical qualification and 18th Edition.
