• Assisting the responsible person and authorised person when requested.

Skills and requirements

• Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations.
• Therefore, previous experience in the role is not necessary.All applicants who are interested in the position must pass Prison Clearance, which can take up to 8 weeks or more.
• Need a passport or photo driving licence to apply for clearance.
• Once passed, this is valid for 5 years and can be transferred to any other prisons of a similar category.Essential.

• Your Newpany:We are recruiting an experienced Electrician to work at HMP Sudbury expected to be ongoing on a temporary basis for the next few months.
• This is a long-term temporary contract offering sociable, full-time hours and overtime.
• There is the possibility for a permanent role for the right candidate.
• Any and all training will be provided for you Onsite when you start.

• Problem-solving on electrical systems across the prison.

Additional role context

• Working Days: Monday to Friday (overtime cover at weekends available)Working Hours: 39 hours per week.
• City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation works or equivalent.
