Embedded Software Engineer
Job description
This Software Developer role with A Level is focused on write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
Where the work sits
Location: Cambridge - initially 5 days per week during onboarding, then 2 to 3 days per week in the office. Collaborative and supportive team environment.
How the role works day to day
Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality. Work within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware teams based internationally.
Practical details
- £33,000 to £55,000 per annum + healthcare + dental + pension + 25 days holiday (lower end for a new Graduate, more for experience).
- Additional detail: Pension support may be included.
What needs to be in place
- Strong academic background with a 2.1 or 1st in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a closely related subject.
- BBC or above at A Level (or international equivalent).
- Experience or interest in embedded systems or low-level programming.
