What the role involves

• Emotional and Mental Health Support Assistant focuses on social, emotional and mental health (semh) support assistant – school-based.
• We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Support Assistant to join a lovely specialist secondary school in Cramlington.
• Staff work closely together to support pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to re-engage with learning.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Supporting students with emotional regulation and engagement in lessons.
• Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.

• Relevant care, clinical, support, registration, DBS, or safeguarding requirements may apply.
