Engineering Manager focuses on we're looking for a technical architect who can drive development velocity across a team of 10–15 engineers building cloud-native applications.

What the role involves

• We're looking for a technical architect who can drive development velocity across a team of 10–15 engineers building cloud-native applications.
• Leading the architecture, performance, and scalability of our Node.js-based platform running primarily on AWS.
• While our applications are deployed on AWS today, they are designed to be hyperscaler-agnostic, and you'll ensure architectural decisions preserve that portability across GCP, Azur.
• Own the technical direction of the platform, mentor senior engineers, and partner with product and engineering leadership to ship high-quality systems quickly.
• Also manage a team of 10–15 developers — setting goals, running 1:1s, growing careers, hiring, and removing blockers.
• Balance roadmap delivery with engineering health: code quality, system reliability, on-call hygiene, and developer experience.

Skills and requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience designing platform-agnostic systems that can run on any major hyperscaler.
• Experience with multi-cloud or cloud-portable deployments (Kubernetes, Terraform, containerization).

Confirmed role details

• This is a hybrid role: deep hands-on technical leadership combined with people management.

Candidate fit

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer).

Additional role context

• Deep expertise architecting distributed systems on AWS (compute, networking, data, IAM, observability).
• Strong Node.js background and a clear point of view on building maintainable services at scale.
• Proven ability to grow engineers, hire well, and run a team that ships consistently.
